After a first experience of soil survey carried out in June 2009 with only a geophysical survey for defining the homogeneous areas on which to carry out direct investigations, in June 2015 an integrated investigation of the soil was performed in a field intended for replanting. This survey was based on a geophysical survey with a three-level resistivity map, on the selection of homogeneous areas, on the execution of soil profiles and a direct soil sampling with related chemical investigations. The final product was a map of the various types of soil of this small lot, to support the design of the new vineyard and the choice of the rootstock best suited to the soil quality.
